UAE, Japan discuss customs cooperation agreement

The UAE and Japan on Thursday discussed the signing of an agreement to bolster technical and administrative cooperation in the field of customs.

The two countries also held talks on the exchange of expertise and increasing joint trade. The talks were held by Ali Bin Subaih Al Kaabi, Chairman of the UAE Federal Customs Authority, and a visiting Japanese delegation. Al Kaabi emphasised that Japan is considered a strategic trade partner for the UAE, particularly in light of the historic relations of cooperation and partnership the two countries share.
